“Always livin’ my life like it’s Golden”
Born in South Korea, at the tender age of ten months she was adopted to Sweden.
Hanna grew up on an island in the Baltic sea called Gotland, it was there she discovered her passion for dance and music. It has from then brought her to many different places around the world. Places she has performed/taught in are for ex. Kingston – Jamaica, all over the US, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Belgium and Canada. She is currently residing in Brooklyn, NYC.
As a versatile choreographer/dancer she prefers not to be pigeonholed but her main styles are “Dancehall Fusion” (eclectic mix of Jamaican dancehall dances, different carribean dances, african, bellydancing and south american dances), hiphop and streetjazz. She is always open for new influences and interested in different cultures.
In September 2009 she founded Blackgold Dance Crew together with choreographers Genius and History. Together they have been performing all over the US. Their dance to the viral video/song “Nobody Canna Cross It” is one of their successful dances. The dance was shown on TVJ in Jamaica several times and got deemed the official dance by the creator of the song, DJPowa. Blackgold has also appeared on CBS Early show alongside Mr. Vegas and the New Kingston for over three million viewers.
Her work has also been recognized by DanceJA that nominated Hanna to be one of the most popular on the international scene in their 2011 Awards Recognition.
Her passion for music has brought her into the world of DJing and also artist development & PR. Has for example worked with Nelson Serieux (formery known as Cherry L), artist originally from St Lucia. Other artists she has promoted are for ex. Keida (Jamaica), Stylo G (UK) and Natel (Jamaica).
